- Prof. Rowsan Ara is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Medicine at Green Life Medical College.
- She passed her MBBS from Chittagong Medical College in 1999 and completed her Fellowship (FCPS) in Internal Medicine from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2008. In 2012, she achieved her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Rheumatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
- Further enhancing her expertise, Dr. Ara completed a six-month APLAR fellowship at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, and she was honored with the ARA-APLAR Scholarship Award in 2014. She received prestigious FRCP from Royal College of Physicians, London in 2024.
- She is the first female rheumatologist in Bangladesh. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of the Bangladesh Rheumatology Society (BRS).
An active participant in the academic community, Dr. Ara has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and has contributed 29 publications to various reputable medical journals, showcasing her dedication to advancing the field of Medicine specially Rheumatology.
